Busoga University was founded by Busoga Diocese of the Church of Uganda and therefore religious affairs are taken seriously.

We have a well established Chaplaincy with a full time Chaplain and a voluntary Counselor who offers both spiritual and psycho-counseling. Our weekly programmes run as follows;

Morning glory, 6.45am – 8.00am every day, Monday to Friday.

Lunch hour fellowship, 1.00pm – 2.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Christian Union Fellowships on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5.00pm – 6.30pm.

Morning devotion for staff members every Wednesday, 8.30am – 9.30am.

Chapel services every Sunday, 7.45am – 9.00am.

Annual Programmes
Gospel Crusade held every second week of June.

Thanks giving service held once a year in February or November.

Much as the Institution was founded by the Anglican Church, we do not coerce students or members of staff to convert or worship in the Anglican Church or University Chapel. Members are free to worship at worship centres of their choice outside the university premises.

So at Busoga University, we have a warm and vibrant family of Christian believers.
