As new students at the University, an orientation programme organised under the office of Director of Students’ Affairs takes you through what is expected of you and what you should expect as a bona-fide student of Busoga University. During this event, you will be taken through the rules and regulations of the University; policies, you will get to meet the different Administrators and Faculty Deans. All New students undertake a trip in the Guild bus around the Iganga Municipality where key areas are pointed out to you. At faculty level, an orientation is organised which allows you to get to know your lecturers, faculty administrators, details about the course you are going to take, timetables, lecturer room allocation, the library, academic, Quality Assurance and morals e.t.c.
All new students undertake an exercise of registration with the University. On reporting, all freshers are registered by the Directorate of Academic Affairs from where each student is issued a registration number. You then will be required to register with the Directorate oSavef Students’ Affairs so as to be entered into the students’ data bank.
