Busoga University through a memorandum of understanding with Hearts 4 peace, a consultancy company providing cutting edge peacebuilding services to families and workplaces in North America and the world over. has established a Centre for Peace studies that will produce interdisciplinary peace workers to fill the current demand in the private, public, and civil society organizations in the great lakes region and beyond.
Centre 4 Peace studies
The Centre 4 Peace Studies (C4P) was established by Busoga University in Uganda and Hearts 4 Peace Uganda Branch effective January 12, 2012. C4P was established to meet the current demand for peace workers in the private, public, and civil society organizations in the great lakes region.
The Centre 4 Peace studies was established after realizing that peace and conflicts are inextricably intertwined with poverty, violence, human rights, security, good governance, and community development. The University is proud to host the 1st ever interdisciplinary peace and conflict studies centre in the great lakes region.
Busoga University grand fundraising
Busoga University has started a grand fundraising campaign for the construction of Busoga university complex.
A series of events are planned such as walks, talk shows, dinners, bicycle races among others.
